Patricia Weber. Introvert networking and sales pro: author, trainer, speaker.
NETWORKING SUCCESS AS AN INTROVERT: Do you know someone who gets queasy at networking events?
Does someone you know procrastinate at follow-up because they think they are bothering people? Have you noticed someone you know tends to get nervous about a presentation? Meyers Briggs talk, I'm an INTJ. My specialty is introverts, shy and even reluctant to sell extroverts. I help people, particularly introverts, let go of sales and networking reluctance struggles and help more people buy from them!
MAKE YOUR NETWORKING COUNT: You can struggle with networking if you look at is as an "all about me" situation. Or you can let it work for you with a focus on others. Good news introverts - that includes a focus on the follow-up. Be more interested instead of trying to be interesting. Decide who is valuable for your network and then value them with follow-up. Listen, go deep and take your eye off yourself. Introverts CAN rule in networking.

One compliment I was often given by my manager was in the form of encouraging other salespeople to - shadow me. "Pat has a knack for learning everything about a prospect including their underwear size. It's this information gathering that makes her our number 1 producer."
This is something that I encourage introverts how to leverage in their own sales and marketing efforts.
